  • Worked at the Manitoba Club for 13 years.
  • Competed in Chaîne des Rôtisseurs competitions for 5 years.
  • For 7 summers, Chef Dan worked at the Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club and was head chef for 6 of those years.
  • Started at Urban Prairie Cuisine in 2017 as Head Chef, recently becoming part owner

  • Dan was born in Germany and moved to Winnipeg when he was 6 years old.

Food & Beverage Manager Danielle Podaima

Danielle Podaima joined Urban Prairie Cuisine in March 2019, partnering with Elsie and working alongside her fiancé Chef Dan.

Danielle has a passion for this industry, but took that passion in a different direction. Originally going to school for cooking, Danielle found her place in the front of house, working to create the perfect guest experience. She began working at the Manitoba Club right out of high school and quickly moved into the position of head server in the fine dining room, Fort Garry Gate. Danielle moved into the position of managing main floor staff and being responsible for member dining experiences. While she loved the relationships this position allowed for, she also took on the role as Wedding Coordinator to extend her passion into a different capacity.

Danielle and Chef Dan met while working at the Manitoba Club, creating a strong friendship before beginning to date in 2015. The two are engaged to be married September 2019.

When she is not working, Danielle loves kids, listening to music and spending time at home with Dan and their 4 adorable pets!

Danielle is professional, kind, hardworking and has such a strong passion for this industry; she cannot wait to meet all of you.
